Pyrite is commonly found around the world in a variety of geological formations. But what’s fascinating about this stone is how it evolves. It starts as sedimentary deposits to hydrothermal veins and metamorphic rocks. As it evolves, it forms in masses, stalactites, grains, globes, cubes, and even twelve-sided crystals! It also forms flat, radial disks called “suns” or “dollars.” Pyrite is a very fluid stone, and like our own lives, can evolve in any number of directions.
